The
Football Yearbook is
chock-a-block with statistics.
The Yearbook will predict home, draw and away results for league
and cup matches between teams from the major league divisions,
plus the four minor tables found on pools and fixed-odds
coupons. There is no limit to the number of predictions which
may be made. Forecasts can be sorted, copied and printed, just
as required. Prediction success rates can be analysed.

Forecasting methods make use of the data from results and table
files and take into consideration selected sequences of matches,
goal averages, goals scored, 'rateform' values, etc. In fact the
user selects from a range of forecasting criteria and sets the
prediction parameters. This means that there is complete freedom
to amend and test the predictive algorithms and formulae.
Also included in the Yearbook is a unique and extensive feature
which generates football betting odds. Odds can be compiled in
such a way as to simulate those found on the bookmaker's
fixed-odds coupons, or used simply as a forecasting tool to aid
betting selections. The odds are based upon accurately compiled
statistical probabilities, and the formulae and parameters can
be accessed and edited by the user.
The data provided with the Yearbook, going back to 1984, can be
copied and pasted into your own database and spreadsheet
applications.
The Football Yearbook package ....
A comprehensive 84 page instructional handbook accompanies the
software, which is despatched on a CD with up-to-date results
and tables for the current season. The package is supplied by
post.
