NineBall Pool uses balls
1 to 9 racked in a diamond formation with the
9-ball in the middle and the 1-ball at the apex.
The frame
winner sinks the 9-ball. As long as balls are being potted a
'break' continues.
The cue ball must
first contact the lowest numbered ball on the table but
the balls need not necessarily be pocketed in numerical order.
The 9-ball can be potted at any
stage in a 'combination' shot.
In the USA nine-ball is often the favoured game for big bettors
or hustlers and is of course the version of pool
appearing most regularly on televised tournaments.
CJ's has six 'American' championship quality 'Brunswick
Tables'. These have a playing surface measuring a little over
8x4 feet.
