EightBall Pool requires seven of the 15 object balls,
plus the eightball, to be potted before those of your opponent. The
eightball must be potted last.
In the UK a standard 'bar' table has been in use for close to 30
years. It has a playing surface measuring around 6x3 feet. CJ's
have top quality 'Riley'
tables.
Eightball has become popular because the game is eminently
suitable for coin operation and the tables are of a convenient
size for installation in pubs and clubs where space is limited.
It is for these reasons that eightball is the most favoured
game for UK pool leagues.
